Why do you need a strategic framework?
Just in order to have shared purpose and strong corporate culture.
To have your identity, your vibe as an organisation.
To manage the process of attracting talents (values based recruitment) and to maximize their performance and engagement through your corporate culture.
Defining a strategic roadmap gives your team something to aim for in the longer term — something beyond quarterly goals and outcomes.
Get your team in the right mind-frame.
Elements of a strategic framework
Prepare the vision statement (not just formal one)
The vision is the starting point of this strategic journey.
It is something that guides your team in their work and gives direction to the organization’s future, for the next 5-10 years.
It is what or how you would like things to be (your dream).
it is a picture of the future you are working to create.
It is also about what stakeholders want to be.
Without a vision of where we are going, how can we develop a plan to get there, and how will we know when we have arrived?
But…the vision (dream) is not enough.
Let’s formulate / review a good mission statement
The mission statement is the fundamental building block upon which your organization’s strategy and work plans will be built.
A good mission statement is a milestone for the development of the strategy, goals, and objectives of the organization.
It is also the way you will describe your organization’s purpose to members, potential members, and business partners.
And our favorite part: corporate values – the real ones!
But too often, values provide no actionable guidance.
We won’t let you create toothless or dishonest values.
Whether it’s purpose-driven beliefs or a more traditional approach, we apply our expert facilitation and coaching abilities to stress test every idea, so your values are actionable – not laughable.
Value statements have little meaning should your staff not demonstrating these values in their work behaviors.
To be meaningful, values must be described in clear behavioral terms.
When values and beliefs are deeply ingrained and widely shared by directors, managers and staff, they become a way of life within the organization, and they mold organizational strategy.
